EPS Industrial Oil Skimmer

About EPS Industrial Oil Skimmer

EPS Industrial Oil Skimmer (CSE-01) is a mechanical oil skimmer made by EPS Denizcilik ve Çevre Hizmetleri, made of marine grade aluminum, used to recover oil and petroleum-based liquids spilled or leaked on the water surface in the sea, lakes and similar bodies of water such as ponds. It is a well-established model used worldwide against pollution caused by petroleum-based substances.

EPS Industrial Oil Skimmer recovering an oil layer from the water surface

Material and Dimensions

  • Body material: Marine Grade Aluminum (corrosion-resistant, seawater-grade aluminum)
  • Dimensions: Ø 75 cm diameter, 7 cm thickness (custom sizes available on request)

Working Principle

The skimmer works using the density difference between oil and water, using the resulting head difference to perform mechanical skimming. Oil, being lighter than water, rises to the surface and is drawn into the skimmer head through the suction channels according to the thickness of the oil layer, then separated from the water and pumped out through the discharge hose. Skimming capacity is 20 m³/hour, recovering high-viscosity oil/petroleum accumulations from the water surface.

The system can also be used as a transfer unit for pumping petroleum-based fluids.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does EPS Industrial Oil Skimmer work?
It uses the density difference between oil and water to perform mechanical skimming, drawing the oil layer on the water surface into the suction channels and separating it from the water with a pump.

What is its skimming capacity?
It recovers high-viscosity oil/petroleum accumulations from the water surface at a rate of 20 m³/hour.

Is a diesel-powered model available?
Yes; alongside the electric motor EPS-CSE01 model detailed on this page, a diesel-powered model option is also available – contact us for details.

What material is it made from?
It is made from corrosion-resistant Marine Grade Aluminum; standard diameter is 75 cm and thickness 7 cm, with custom sizes also available.

Can it be used for anything other than oil recovery?
Yes; the system can also be used as a transfer unit for pumping petroleum-based fluids.
