Quick Boom 350 | Compact Emergency Oil Spill Boom
Quick Boom 350 is a compact oil boom designed for teams that prioritize speed and readiness in oil spill and marine pollution response. It delivers standard fence-boom performance through its foam-filled construction, while its 15-meter sections stored in wheeled, ready-to-go boxes make it stand out as an emergency response boom that needs minimal storage space and can be launched to the water in the shortest possible time. It is different than a fence type boom in some aspects
What Is Quick Boom?
Quick Boom 350 is an oil pollution boom with a total height of 35cm (12cm freeboard, 23cm draft) and a foam-filled construction, used for small and medium-scale oil spills and marine pollution response. Each section is 15 meters long, with an ASTM-Z connector at both ends, allowing multiple boxes to be linked together or joined to standard fence-type booms such as EPS Fence. Custom section lengths from 5 to 25 meters can also be manufactured on request. The boom weighs approximately 2.0 kg/m and has a buoyancy-to-weight ratio of 1:4, and is made from orange, PVC-coated polyester fabric.
Compact Design & Fast Deployment
Quick Boom 350’s greatest strength is its ready-to-deploy system built into a wheeled storage box. The boom is stored in a dedicated, wheeled and braked marine-grade aluminum box (approximately 50 x 65 x 75cm, 20kg); the box is brought to the shoreline, its four tension latches are released, and the boom is launched directly into the water with the box used in either a horizontal or vertical position. Using multiple linked boxes, up to 200 meters of boom can be deployed in around 10 minutes. This compact footprint makes it practical and cost-effective to keep as standing emergency equipment at ports, marinas, and coastal facilities.
Maintenance & Cleaning
For long product life, a freshwater rinse after use is recommended. Chemical or abrasive detergents should not be used; if needed, low-pressure water can be applied from a distance of at least 30cm. Extended exposure to UV light during long-term sea use may fade the boom fabric’s color over time.

Applications
Emergency Oil Spill Response
A compact solution that port and marina teams can deploy quickly as a first response to small and medium-scale oil spills.
Ship Loading/Discharge Operations
Can be launched to the field instantly against potential spills during tanker and fuel bunkering operations.
Port & Marina Emergency Equipment
Kept in storage as low-footprint, wheeled boxes, ready to be put into action within minutes when needed.
Small Boat Harbors & Marinas
A practical protection line can be created in smaller harbors using a single box or several boxes linked together, without setting up a large boom line.

Quick Boom 350 is a compact emergency oil boom manufactured by EPS Marine. Its 15-meter sections are stored in wheeled, ready-to-deploy boxes and launched directly to the water, making it suited to small and medium-scale oil spill response. Total height is 35cm (12cm freeboard, 23cm draft), buoyancy-to-weight ratio is 1:4, weight is approximately 2.0 kg/m, and connectors are ASTM-Z at both ends of each section, allowing boxes to be linked together or joined to standard fence booms. Using linked boxes, up to 200 meters of boom can be deployed in about 10 minutes.

FAQ
What is Quick Boom, and how is it different from a standard fence boom?
Quick Boom 350 is a compact, foam-filled oil boom. Its key differences from a standard fence boom are its size (35cm total height) and packaging: 15-meter sections are stored in wheeled, ready-to-go boxes and can be deployed very quickly by opening the box and launching the boom directly into the water. Its small storage footprint and speed-focused design make it well suited to emergency response scenarios.
Is Quick Boom 350 sufficient on its own, or can it be linked to other booms?
Thanks to the ASTM-Z connector at both ends of each section, multiple Quick Boom 350 boxes can be linked together, and the boom can also be joined to standard fence-type booms such as EPS Fence if needed. This flexibility allows for quick extension during emergency response.
How is Quick Boom 350 deployed?
The box is brought to the shoreline, its wheel brake is released, and its four tension latches are opened to remove the lid. The box is then used in a horizontal or vertical position to launch the boom directly into the water.
How is Quick Boom 350 cleaned and stored?
A freshwater rinse after use is recommended. Chemical or abrasive detergents should not be used; low-pressure water can be applied from at least 30cm if needed. Extended UV exposure during long-term sea use may fade the fabric’s color over time.
Can Quick Boom 350 be used for large-scale spill response?
Quick Boom 350’s compact size and 15-meter section length make it best suited to small and medium-scale spills and first response. For large-area operations, larger boom systems such as EPS Fence or the Spill Buster inflatable boom should be selected instead.
